Senate Bill 973 (SB 973): Effective January 1, 2021, and imposes new pay reporting requirements on California employers. On or before March 31, 2021 and on or before March 31 of each year thereafter, California employers who are already required to file an Employment Information Report (EEO-1) under federal law must report required pay data including pay and hours data relative to race, ethnicity and gender to California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (CDFEH).
