Alaska minimum wage update

  • The state minimum wage effective January 1, 2021 is $10.34, and “applies to all hours worked in a pay period, regardless of how the employee is paid — whether by time, piece, commission or otherwise.”
  • Tips do not count toward the minimum wage.
  • Public School Drivers must be paid at least twice the state minimum wage according to Alaska Law.
