Seattle, Washington payroll expense tax

Effective January 1, 2021, the City of Seattle will impose a payroll expense tax on every business in the city that meets the following requirements: (1) the business must have had $7 million or more in Seattle-based payroll for the prior calendar year; and (2) the business must have employees with current annual compensation of at least $150k or more.
